Dermal Fillers

Dermal filler is an injectable gel made of hyaluronic acid a substance naturally found in the body that attracts and binds water molecules to add volume. As we age the collagen in our skin breaks down making our skin look less youthful causing wrinkles and sagging. Dermal fillers can add volume and fullness to different areas of the face to lift cheeks, smooth out wrinkles, plump the lips and enhance facial balance for a more youthful and revitalized look.

Results are seen immediately and optimal outcome will occur in about 2-5 days with results lasting anywhere from 6 months to 2 years depending on the treatment area, formula and severity of your concerns.

Side Effects and Complications

Side effects from dermal filler can include slight redness, swelling, tenderness and occasional bruising for up to several days. Avoid strenuous activities and exercise for 24 hours post procedure. You may apply cool compress gently to area of swelling for 15 minutes each hour. Sleep on your back with face up if possible. Do not massage or manipulate the injected site.

PRP Injections

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection is a medical procedure that involves using a concentrated form of a patient's own blood to promote healing and tissue regeneration.

PRP for hairloss

PRP for hair loss treatment is suitable for patients with areas of thinning hair and weak hair growth with functioning hair follicles.  This treatment is not suitable for patients with complete hair loss and bald scalps. PRP is effective in strengthening the hair follicle which results in stronger and healthier looking hair. This procedure involves blood taken from the patient which is centrifuged to separate out the plasma. Plasma is rich in healing and growth factors.

This plasma is injected directly to your scalp at the level of the follicle. The recommended protocol for optimal results is 3-6 sessions at 4 week intervals. As your own plasma is used it is relatively safe procedure with very little chance of reaction to the plasma. After these treatments are complete some patients may require maintenance therapy once or twice a year depending on the severity of hair loss.
